Experience a cheesy twist on the traditional high tea with High Cheese!

Curated by Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte in collaboration with renowned cheese experts, the Studd Siblings, our new High Cheese menu is sure to delight. Featuring three tiers of cheesy goodness, High Cheese showcases some of the finest cheese varieties from around the world. An evening dining experience like no other, High Cheese takes you on a journey from the aged-cheddar and candied apple scone, to L'Artisan organic Mepunga grueyere Welsh rarebit, to Basque chocolate cheesecake with many things in between.

Paired with a glass of wine by Scotchmans Hill, Allegro Restaurant showcases Chief Winemaker Robin Brockett's wines, highlighting the uniqueness of the Bellarine Peninsula and perfectly complementing Chef Apoorva's cheesy creations.

HIGH CHEESE WITH THE STUDD SIBLINGS

The Westin Melbourne Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte, has collaborated with Ellie and Sam Studd (The Studd Siblings) to craft a uniquely mouthwatering High Cheese menu. Featuring esteemed favourites such as baked Le Conquerant Camembert, an exquisite tart of vine ripened tomato tartare, Sarakatsani tribe inspired ewe's milk Galotyri with Congo potato; and the deceptively sweet El Esparto cave ripened Manchego cheese bavarois with candied pineapple, to name a few.

Ellie and Sam Studd, both members of the International Guilde des Fromagers and Certified Cheese Professionals bring a wealth of knowledge and passion when it comes to creating the perfect cheese experience, many tips can be found in their new book The Best Things in Life are Cheese.

Matched with a selection of wines by Scotchmans Hill including single vineyard wines by their Chief Wine Maker Robin Brockett, High Cheese 2024 offers a culinary event not to be missed!

ABOUT THE WINE MAKER

Robin Brockett joined Scotchmans Hill in 1988, as Vineyard Manager. With a degree in Oenology (Winemaking) from Charles Sturt University, Robin took on the responsibilities of Winemaker in 1990. From the original single label, Scotchmans Hill, the Estate has released a further 11 new labels, including the Swan Bay and Cornelius ranges. Instrumental in the growth of Scotchmans Hill, and now the Chief Winemaker, Robin has been active in establishing the Bellarine as a thriving wine region. Robin Brockett was recently inducted into the 2023 Hall of Fame, Geelong Wine Awards.

SUSTAINABILITY

Drawing inspiration from Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte's immersive journey to Côte d'Ivoire, where he collaborated closely with cacao farmers, our High Cheese desserts are crafted using 100% sustainable chocolate meticulously sourced through the Cacao Trace program. Each indulgent bite not only tantalizes the taste buds but also champions a noble cause. Through this initiative, a portion of the proceeds from the purchase of our chocolate directly supports cacao farmers and their communities, facilitating the construction of essential infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, and maternity clinics.
